Staff Knowledge Exchange
During the year, we also sought to encourage an
international perspective among our staff and enhance our
teaching capabilities and academic standards by inviting
overseas visiting fellows for teaching and research activities
as well as participation in overseas events.
In May 2012, we took part in Guangzhou’s International
Vocational Education Forum, which provided an excellent
platform for our staff to learn from peers and share
views and knowledge on vocational education with
industry experts. The Master Lecture Series and Visiting
Fellows/Creators-in-residence Scheme organised by the
HKDI also offered significant opportunities for both our staff
and students to learn from world-renowned designers and
practitioners from overseas.
The VTC also organised the National Study Programme
at Tsinghua University for the third time in June 2012.
Through the programme, staff members were given the
chance to learn from Mainland government officials,
renowned academics and professors of Tsinghua and Peking
Universities and other experts on the latest economic, social
and cultural development in the Mainland.

員參加國際活動，以及邀請海外訪問學者參
與教學及研究工作，以提升教學團隊的實力
及學術水平。

教論壇，藉此平台與同行互相學習和交流專
業教育的知識及灼見。
HKDI
舉辦的大師講座
及訪問學人／駐校創作家計劃，亦提供機會給
師生向世界設計名師及海外專家學習。
我們亦於

月第三度籌辦清華大學國
情研習班，讓
VTC
教職員可向內地官員、清華
大學及北京大學的教授與知名學者，以及其
他專家，了解內地最新的經濟、社會及文化
發展情況。
