Amelie Clinched “Top in the World” Achievement in IGCSE 設計課程學生於IGCSE公開試榮膺「世一」

In a moment of immense pride and celebration, we are thrilled to announce that our Design Year 3 student, Ka Kiu Amelie Sitt, has achieved the prestigious “Top in the World” award from Cambridge. The “Top in the World” award is one of the highest honours in the Cambridge International Examinations. Amelie earned a perfect score of 100 in IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement), placing her among the top three awardees in Hong Kong in 2024. This remarkable achievement not only showcases her exceptional language skills but also highlights the unwavering dedication and professional guidance of our teaching team. 設計課程三年級學生Amelie 近日獲Cambridge頒授 「Top in the World」獎項，以表彰其在IGCSE English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) 考試中取得驕人滿分。 「Top in the World 」作為Cambridge 國際文憑試的最高榮譽之一，全港去年僅有3人獲此殊榮。Amelie此次名列前茅，既展現了其自身出類拔萃的語言能力，也肯定了學院教學團隊數年間不懈之專業指導與付出。

Our Year 2 Design students, Lai Hong Yin and Yau Yik Chun, stood out in the “PolyU Design HATCH Awards 2024 Summer Edition” competition organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, winning the Most Sustainable Design Award and receiving an honorable mention, respectively. Engineering Brilliance: Eco-Therm Spa Concept Won Runner-up 工程課程學生參加中華電力「低碳節能發明比賽」摘銀

Chan Charissa, our talented Engineering Year 1 student, secured the first runner-up position in the 2nd “Low Carbon Energy Invention Competition”, co-organized by CLP and CityU, with a brilliant concept. As this year marks the 30th anniversary of China Light and Power importing nuclear power from the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, the competition has deliberately incorporated nuclear elements as one of the scoring criteria to encourage participants to create innovative inventions using zero-carbon emission nuclear energy. Charissa's idea is to transform surplus heat from nuclear facilities into an Eco-Therm Spa for seniors, disabled and athletes. 工程一年級學生陳芷諺於中華電力及香港城市大學合辦的第二屆「低碳節能發明大賽」中榮獲亞軍。適逢今年是中華電力從大亞灣核電站輸入核電 30 周年的里程碑，比賽特意加入核能元素作為評分標準之一，鼓勵參賽者以零碳排放的核能創作發明作品。陳同學的創新構思是利用核電站產生的餘熱，透過改良機械和熱力傳導技術，將核電熱源轉化為低碳水療設施的再生能源，變棄為寶，為長者、運動員以及復康人士提供源源不絕的健康水療服務。

EcoQuest: Planet Protectors - Student Won Global Eco-Game Award 工程課程學生於「2024全球青少年創新設計與發明大賽」攬兩獎

Celebrate Ho Yick Siu, an Engineering Year 1 student, for winning Gold Award and being crowned the Overall Champion at the “2024 Global Youth Innovation Design and Invention Competition” with his project - EcoQuest: Planet Protectors. This Roblox and Lua-based game educates players on sustainability, recycling, and environmental care. Through immersive gameplay, it inspires eco-consciousness and individual responsibility for a greener future. 工程課程一年級學生何易笑於「2024全球青少年創新設計與發明大賽」 表現出眾，以其創意專案「EcoQuest: Planet Protectors」脫穎而出，攬獲中學組金獎以及全場總冠軍。何同學的設計基於Roblox和Lua系統開源，以沉浸式的遊戲體驗，喚起玩家關注可持續發展議題，並在遊戲中不失時機穿插環保知識，倡導綠色生活未來。

Robotic Revolution: First-Year Squad Emerged Victorious at CTEA CUP! 工程課程學生於 第十八屆「創協盃」創意科技機械人大賽奪冠

Our Engineering Year 1 students Chan Charissa, Law Ho Ting Osmund, and Latorre Tyra Jameelah Perena have clinched the Champion title at the 18th “CTEA CUP Robotic Tournament”. Their victory at this cutting-edge creative technology and Robotics competition underscores their exceptional skills and collaborative spirit. Through innovative design and precise execution, they have showcased the future of engineering. Next year, they will have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong in the World Robotics Contest, continuing their excellent performance. 工程課程學生陳芷諺、羅浩廷和 Latorre Tyra Jameelah Perena 於第十八屆「創協盃」比賽中一展工程素養，表現卓著，贏得電子科技創新設計組冠軍。是次比賽賽況激烈，匯集全港中學多支勁旅。YCI參賽團隊巧用所學，以扎實的專案設計和出色的團隊合作能力，展現創意，脫穎而出，來年更有機會代表港區參加世界機器人大賽，續寫佳績。

Sport Student Shone at National Sports Dance Championship 勝之以「舞」——運動課程學生於「第31屆全國體育舞蹈錦標賽」奪亞

We are delighted to share the exciting news that Desmond, our second-year student in our Sport programme, returned in glory, representing Hong Kong in the 31st “National Sports Dance Championship”. He clinched the first runner-up title in the amateur Latin dance category for those aged 18 and under. Demonstrating remarkable talent, Desmond's stellar performance captivated the audience and judges alike. As we applaud Desmond's achievement, we eagerly anticipate witnessing his future successes. 運動課程二年級學生廖誠智載譽歸來，代表港隊出戰無錫「第31屆全國體育舞蹈錦標賽」，以其出色發揮，力奪18歲或以下拉丁舞組別亞軍。「全國體育舞蹈錦標賽」系由中國體育舞蹈聯合會主辦，屬一年一度全國舞蹈競技最高水準比賽之一，賽事歷來備受國內外體壇關注。廖同學於平日緊張訓練同時，仍堅持在學業道路上不斷前行，文「舞」兼備，背後既體現了家人和學院的悉心支援，也展現了其不改初心，拼搏求進的體育精神。

Keira Shone as Most Valuable Player in Ice Hockey Tournament 冰之驕女——運動課程學生榮獲冰球賽事最有價值球員獎

Keira Mok, our second-year student in our Sport programme, has earned the title of Most Valuable Player at the esteemed "2024 Land of Smiles Bangkok Paradise Cup". In addition to this achievement, her teams secured the first runner-up position in the women's category and emerged as champion in the International Division. 運動課程學生莫曦淋憑藉優異發揮，在「2024 Land of Smiles Bangkok Paradise Cup」冰球賽事中獲得最有價值球員獎。與此同時，莫同學所在的球隊也在是次比賽中贏得女子組亞軍以及國際組別冠軍，成為全場焦點。莫同學平時刻苦訓練，此次得獎實至名歸，恰為對其持之以恆的冰球運動熱忱的最佳印證。
