Design Student Martin To Celebrates Double Victory at Hong Kong Smart Design Awards 2024 設計課程學生於「香港智營設計大賞2024」創佳績
Our second-year DVB (Design) student, To Kwong Chak Martin, has distinguished himself at the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards 2024. He received the Merit Award in the Conceptual Category and was the sole recipient of the Student Award in the Product Group. His innovative entry, "DISTINCTION," is a decorative lighting piece utilizing origami techniques, enabling users to customize it to their personal tastes. This recognition from the Hong Kong Exporters' Association highlights Martin's creative prowess and exceptional skills in product design. This annual event is a highlight of the industry. Martin To's award not only signifies professional recognition of his design talents but also reaffirms the achievements of vocational and professional education and training in inspiring innovation and nurturing skilled professionals.
Design Student Remus Lee Claimed 2nd Runner-Up in Victoria Harbourfront Competition 設計課程學生榮獲「維港海濱攝影及短片創作比賽」季軍
Our dedicated student, Lee Sze Yui Remus, from the DVB (Design) programme, has achieved remarkable success by securing the position of 2nd runner-up in the student group at the recent Victoria Harbourfront Competition, hosted by the Harbourfront Commission. His compelling artwork, titled "Lapping Against the Shore," masterfully captures the enchanting beauty of Victoria Harbour.
Engineering Students Captured 1st Runner-Up Spot and Best Creativity Award at Solar Future Challenge 2024 工程學生在「太陽能創未來挑戰賽2024」中奪亞
In March, our Engineering students made a remarkable impact, securing the 1st runner-up position in the Solar Supreme Group and winning the Best Creativity Award. Each accolade was accompanied by a HK$20,000 prize for their innovative Solar Air-to-Water Generation System. Competing against top-tier teams, our students demonstrated outstanding innovation and excellence.

At the "Artificial Intelligence and Innovation and Technology Competition 2023 - 2024," held in March, our Engineering students excelled and were awarded the Best Functionality and Interface Design Award. This competition was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at The Education University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education, and received support from leading tech education associations.

Wong King Yin, a Year 1 DVB (Sport) student, has made a spectacular showing at the 2023/24 Outreach Coaching Canoe Competition. Demonstrating remarkable skill and determination, Wong clinched the title of Champion in the highly competitive Senior Men's K1-500m and K1-200m events. His impressive victories reflect his dedication and prowess in canoeing.
Sport Student Seto Wing Nam Triumphed as Girl's Individual Black Belt (Poomsae) Champion in 2024 Hong Kong Taekwondo Open Championship 運動課程學生於香港跆拳道比賽奪魁
DVB (Sport) student Seto Wing Nam has achieved remarkable success at the 2024 Hong Kong Taekwondo Black Belt and Colour Belt (Poomsae) Open Championship. She demonstrated exceptional skill and poise, clinching the title of Girl's Individual Back Belt (Poomsae) Champion. She also secured the 1st Runner-up award at the World Olympic Taekwondo Championship in the High School & Senior Black Belt Poomsae Group (Girls) category. These remarkable accomplishments further demonstrate Wing Nam's exceptional skill, dedication, and passion for the sport. Her success on a global stage reflects her relentless pursuit of excellence.
