Fashion Image Design has emerged as a new profession specialising in make-up, hair styling, fashion styling and fashion photography to create the best and most appropriate image and styling for individual, brand and corporate. The programme seeks to enable students to master the most up-to-date communication strategies, knowledge and skills of image creative sector for fashion.
This programme offers students opportunities to work with industries professionals, and exposure of the newest trends by industry guest seminars. Students will be taught with systematic and professional training in enhancing the abilities of both individual and collaborative practice. By the time of programme completion, graduates are ready to contribute in various roles of creative talents in fashion communication, advertising, film, TV and media, and art direction, etc.
This programme is designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.
Graduates may be employed as fashion stylists, fashion image consultants, magazine stylists, film make-up artists, bridal make-up artists, hair stylists, fashion photographers, etc.
Graduates can pursue relevant degrees locally or overseas. They are eligible to apply for admission to top-up degree programme offered by the following university in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE):

Students are eligible to apply for ordinary membership of the Asia Hair Masters Association (AHMA) and the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association (HKFDA). Students are eligible to apply for student membership of Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA).
Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
