Programme Stream
Students may choose one of the following streams so as to enhance professional knowledge and skills in specific areas:
  • Higher Diploma in Arts Technology (Game and Immersive Design)
  • Higher Diploma in Arts Technology (Show and Performance)
  • Higher Diploma in Arts Technology (Virtual Production)
The 1st semester is a common semester. Students will progress to the streams in the 2nd semester, subject to their stream choice, academic performance and study place availability in specific streams.
Programme Aims
The integration of arts and technology has become a new trend in arts development and the content creation industries. In response to the foreseen manpower demand of arts tech talents, the programme aims to equip students with artistic sensibility as well as production competence to integrate the latest technologies (such as augmented reality, extended reality, real-time animation, etc.) expanding the possibilities of artistic creation, live performance design, immersive experience and game design.

The programme is designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.
Professional Recognition
Students are eligible to apply for student or affiliate membership of the Hong Kong Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4), the Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA), the Hong Kong Extended Reality Association (HKXRA) and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (Hong Kong Section).
