Programme Aims | The integration of arts and technology has become a new trend in arts development. In the 2020 policy address, Arts Tech has been one of the strategic initiatives that HKSAR government will invest resources to support and promote its development. In response to the foreseen manpower demand for arts tech talents in the arts and creative industries, this programme aims to equip students with artistic sensibility as well as production competence to apply technology (such as augmented reality, extended reality, real-time animation, etc.) expanding the possibilities of artistic creation, interactive engagement and immersive experience. This programme is designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation. | |
Career Prospects | Graduates may work from entry level to become Arts Tech Specialist, Virtual Art Director, Technical Designer, Extended Reality (XR) Producer, XR Stage Designer, Interactive VFX Designer, Digital Human Designer, Real-time Animation Artist. | |
Articulation | Graduates can pursue relevant degrees locally or overseas. They are eligible to apply for admission to top-up degree programme offered by the following university in collaboration with the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE):

Professional Recognition | Students are eligible to apply for student or affiliate membership of the Hong Kong Association of Motion Picture Post Production Professionals (AMP4), the Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA), the Hong Kong Extended Reality Association (HKXRA) and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (Hong Kong Section). | |
