Higher Diploma in Surveying


Study Arrangement

The first year

Participants will study the full-time Higher Diploma in Surveying programme at IVE.

The second to third years

Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. For the second and third years, the employer will sponsor the apprentice to study the Higher Diploma (HD) programme at IVE for one day and one evening per week.

The fourth year#

Full-time on-the-job training.


Allowance & Salary*

The second to fourth years#

Participants will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,500 Government Allowance, the total monthly income will be above $10,000.

# The fourth year arrangement is subject to the mutual agreement between Office of the Director of Apprenticeship, Employer and Trainee.

Tuition Fees

 
  • Participants will need to pay the tuition fees for the first year of HD programme. 
  • Employers will sponsor the tuition fees for the second and third year of HD programme. 


Entry Requirement^

 
  • Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; or
  • VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies and with successful completion of Foundation Mathematics III; or
  • VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education with successful completion of Mathematics 3G; or
  • Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin with successful completion of Mathematics Plus; or
  • Equivalent.
