Higher Diploma in Building Studies


Study Arrangement

The first to fourth years

Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. For the first 3 years, the employer will sponsor the apprentice to study the Higher Diploma programme at IVE for one day and two evenings per week..


Allowance & Salary*

The first to third years

Apprentices will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000 and an average of $2,500 government allowance. The total monthly income will be above $10,000.
The fourth year Full-time on-the-job training with guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000.

Tuition Fees

 
  • Employers will sponsor the tuition fees. 


Entry Requirement^

 
  • Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; or
  • VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies and with successful completion of Foundation Mathematics III; or
  • VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education with successful completion of Mathematics 3G/ 3E; or
  • Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin with successful completion of Mathematics Plus or
  • Equivalent.
