Study Arrangement

The first year |
Participants will study a full-time Diploma of Vocational Education (Business) Programme at the Youth College. |
|
The second to third years |
Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. Employer will sponsor apprentices to study the part-time Diploma of Vocational Education – Earn and Learn Scheme (Logistics) programme^. |
|
The fourth year$ |
Full time on the job training; Employer may sponsor apprentices to study the relevant part time programme^. |
Allowance & Salary*

The second to fourth years$ |
Participants will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $8,000# and an average of $2,500& Government Allowance. The total monthly income can reach up to $10,000. |

$ The fourth year arrangement is subject to the mutual agreement between Employer and Trainee.
^ Trainee may obtain more than one qualification during the apprenticeship training, including CVE, DVE, DVE-ELS, Prof. Cert and Prof. Dip.
* Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries.
# For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, the guaranteed monthly salary will be adjusted to $9,000.
& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they will be entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.

* After graduating from the DVE-ELS, the trainee is required to complete relevant bridging courses at own arrangements for pursuing further studies in HD programmes.
