Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering
Study Arrangement

The first to fourth years |
Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. For the first 3 years, the employer will sponsor the apprentice to study the Higher Diploma programme at IVE for one day and two evenings per week.. |
Allowance & Salary*
|
The first to third years |
During the training period, participants will receive a total of $30,800 Industry Incentive Allowance, government allowance under the Earn & Learn Scheme (up to $90,000) and Training Allowance (up to $36,000). Given a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $10,530. |
| The fourth year | Full-time on-the-job training with guaranteed monthly salary not less than $10,530. |

& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they are entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.
Tuition Fees
- Employers will sponsor the tuition fees.
Entry Requirement^
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; or
- VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies and with successful completion of Foundation Mathematics III; or
- VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education with successful completion of Mathematics 3G/ 3E; or
- Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin with successful completion of Mathematics Plus or
- Equivalent.

Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering
Study Arrangement

The first year |
Participants will study the full-time Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering programme at IVE. |

The second to third years |
Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. For the second and third years, the employer will sponsor the apprentice to study the Higher Diploma (HD) programme at IVE for one day and one evening per week. |

$ The fourth year arrangement is subject to the mutual agreement between Employer and Trainee.
& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they are entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.
Tuition Fees
- Participants will need to pay the tuition fees for the first year of HD programme.
- Employers will sponsor the tuition fees for the second and third year of HD programme.

To join the VTC Earn and Learn Scheme, Employer will sign an apprenticeship contract and sponsor apprentices to study the part-time Day HD programme:
