Theme Park and Theatre Creative Technology
The programme equips students with all-rounded knowledge and skills in operating theme parks and theatre-related entertainment performances by integrating aspects of stagecraft, theatre lighting, sound technology and visual effects etc. It provides opportunities for professional training, industrial attachment and career development, and nurtures a new generation of technical personnel with IT talents.
Graduates are competent to be designers, technical managers, operators and technicians in theme parks, professional theatre companies and theatre venues.
Discipline will arrange industrial attachment to eligible students. The students will have opportunity to join internship in the scaled theme parks in Hong Kong, theatre venues under HKSAR government, Cultural District and other professional theatre companies.

Higher Diploma in Theme Park and Theatre Creative Technology
Study Arrangement

The first year |
Participants will study the full –time Higher Diploma in Theme Park and Theatre Creative Technology. |

The second to third years |
Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. The employer will sponsor the trainee to study the Higher Diploma (HD) programme at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tuen Mun) for one day per week. |
Allowance & Salary*

The second to third years |
Participants will receive a total of $30,800 Industry Incentive Allowance and $54,000 government subsidy from their employers and the government respectively. Given a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000#, the total monthly income will be above $10,000. |

* Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries.
# For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, the guaranteed monthly salary will be adjusted to $10,000.
& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they will be entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.
Tuition Fees
- Participants will need to pay the tuition fees for the first year of HD programme.
- Employers will sponsor the tuition fees for the second and third year of HD programme.
Entry Requirement
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; or
- VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies; or
- VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education; or
- Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin or Equivalent.
