The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers various "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programmes including the self-financing degree programmes and those under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). In addition, the School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) collaborates with overseas universities to provide top-up degree programmes, offering students even more options for further studies.

Year 1 Entry - Self-financed Degree

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers “Applied Science-Oriented” degree programmes which cover seven academic areas, including Product and Fashion Designs, Sports and International Events Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology and Digital Technology and Innovative Business.

With a typical study duration of four years, THEi offers students Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities and engages them in project-based learning. This involvement enables students to tackle real-world problems alongside industry professionals, preparing them to be both work-ready and future-ready graduates.

THEi's degree programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), and by relevant professional bodies and organisations where appropriate.

Eleven self-financing programmes and ten SSSDP subsidised programmes (apply via the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS)) are available for S6 students to apply in the 2025/26 academic year.
