Entrance Requirements
Entrance Requirements for Year 1:
Level 3 or above in the HKDSE English Language and Chinese Language; AND Level 2 or above in the HKDSE Mathematics, Liberal Studies and one Elective Subject; OR Equivalent*.
Remarks :
  1. A "Grade D or E" and a "Grade C or above" in an HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively, and one Other Language subject can be counted for admission purpose.
  2. An "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in an HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject (Category B subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2", "Level 3" and "Level 4" respectively, and a maximum of two ApL subjects (excluding ApL(C)) can be counted for admission purpose. The results of relevant ApL subjects will be considered in the application for Degree programmes. Relevant ApL subjects include: Food Innovation and Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Health Care Practice, Rehabilitation Care Practice, Applied Psychology, Practical Psychology, Exercise and Fitness Coaching, Exercise Science and Health Fitness.

*Upon completion of the Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) Programmes, students can progress to degree programmes in VTC, subject to their BTEC and IGCSE results.

Entrance Requirements for Year 3:
Higher Diploma OR equivalent qualifications in a relevant area of study.
Remarks:
  1. Additional core modules may be required (with fee charged) for sub-degree graduates according to the educational background of individuals.
  2. All applicants are screened and selected by an Admission and Interview Panel. All interviews are conducted in English.

Programme Aims
The programme aims to train a new breed of healthcare administrators and nutritionists for the rapidly expanding healthcare industry. In order to match a shift of emphasis of the present healthcare system from treatment-oriented to prevention-focused in Hong Kong, the programme curriculum covers a wide range of health related areas, including nutrition, health science and healthcare administration & management, etc. Internship opportunities in healthcare companies / organizations will also be provided to students so as to enhance their practical experience and employability.
Career Prospects
Graduates may hold administrative posts in Government Departments, public or private medical or healthcare institutions, or work as project officers in rehabilitation centres or wellness and nutrition business organisations. After gaining sufficient work experience, they may be promoted to management level.

With a fast increase in ageing population and a trend of expansion of service by many major hospitals, there is a huge demand for healthcare and nutritional science personnel and specialists. The industry not only provides many job positions to graduates of this programme, they can also have excellent upward mobility opportunities in their career.
Articulation
This programme provides a solid foundation in academic competence and research capability for students aspiring for further studies. Graduates are eligible to enroll in various healthcare related professional/Master programmes, such as nursing, clinical nutritional science, dietician, public health, physiotherapy, etc.
Professional Recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply for membership of the Hong Kong Management Association and Associateship of the Hong Kong College of Health Services Executives, and membership of the Hong Kong Nutrition Association as nutritionists.
