    Part-time Project Assistant I / II (Physical Education)

    The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers over 20 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input.  All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies.  In 2019/20 AY, twelve programmes are included in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,000 to $71,700 per year.  For more information about our Institute, please visit https://www.thei.edu.hk.

    Major Duties:
    The appointee shall report to the Project Leader (PL) of the Provision of Professional Services on Curriculum Interface in Physical Education (PE) for Students with Intellectual Disability (ID) and Professional Development Programme for Teachers on implementing the Adapted Physical Education (PE) Curriculum.  He/she is expected to facilitate the project coordinating works, assist in literature search and review, conduct in-depth interviews with special school teachers, perform data collection and data analysis, consolidate project findings and draft reports, and perform other related duties as assigned by the PL.
    For the post of Part-time Project Assistant I, applicants should have a Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports, Recreation Management or related disciplines or a recognized degree in related disciplines with relevant work experience, or equivalent.
    For the post of Part-time Project Assistant II, applicants should have a recognized sub-degree in related disciplines.
    Candidates with experience in working with students with intellectual disabilities will have an advantage.  In addition to working well with other project team-members, the candidate should be with good English and Chinese writing skills, knowledge in qualitative data collection and data analysis, highly self-motivated, and able to work efficiently with tight timelines.
