We believe participating in projects and competitions allows
students to gain a broader perspective in their fields. During
the year, our students have participated in a series of
collaborative projects, competitions and research activities
with the support of the VTC’s industry partners. Some of
them included collaborative projects with IT Accountants
Association, Dairy Farm, Amoy Food Limited, Tao Heung
Group, Radio Television Hong Kong and the Hong Kong
Museum of Art.
Scholarships for Students
The VTC is grateful to its donors for their generous support
of its academic, student development and infrastructure
enhancement over the years.
A number of sponsorships have been received during the
year. For example, the Hong Kong Construction Association
and 10 leading construction corporations have donated
scholarships to over 150 engineering students from
the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).
Hong Kong Disneyland also awarded scholarships to
about 70 students in hotel, tourism and catering service,
entertainment and creative industry and engineering
programmes. In the past year, we also established the
VTC Student Development Foundation to support the
development needs of VTC full-time students and received
generous support from a wide variety of donors.
