Programme Aims
The programme aims to provide students with a degree qualification in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy (CMP) in order to support the manpower needs of the CMP industry. Its key objective is to provide students with an integrated CMP education and training so that they can cope with the complex and challenging requirements of the CMP industry. The programme will equip students with a solid foundation of both traditional and scientific knowledge, and practical skills and techniques to undertake professional CMP practices. It will also cultivate students’ analytical skills and critical thinking to enable them to function effectively as supervisors and managers as they progress in their careers.
Professional Recognition
  1. Graduates of the programme may be nominated as responsible persons or deputies for the supervision of the manufacturing process of proprietary Chinese medicines (section 132(1)(b) of Cap. 549) or as responsible persons or deputies for the supervision of the dispensing of Chinese herbal medicines (section 114(2)(b) of Cap. 549) after accumulating six months of relevant practical experience.
  2. Graduates of the programme are eligible to apply for membership of the Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Pharmacists Association.
