HKVTC Shop Go Public Ceremony cum Keep On Live Competition 2024 was successfully held on 3 July 2024. Dr Bernard CHAN Pak-li, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, served as the officiating guest who delivered a speech and presided over the opening ceremony. The ceremony marked the opening of HKVTC Shop to the general public. The platform showcases products designed and created by VTC students and graduates, recognizing the creativity and talent of the younger generation while also promoting vocational and professional education and training (VPET).
VTC Business Discipline (BA), in collaboration with Hang Seng Bank, hosted the HANG SENG BANK GO!GINGERONION x VTC Business Integrated Marketing Communication Campaign Competition 2024. Over 200 BA students participated in the competition. A total of 47 proposals were received, and 6 teams were shortlisted to advance to the finals. Briefings were conducted for BA students to equip them with knowledge of banking products and provide tips for successfully planning integrated marketing campaigns. BA students also benefited from a visit to the Hang Seng Bank headquarters, where they attended a research workshop and interacted with the staff. Adjudicators from Hang Seng Bank were impressed by the creative ideas presented by BA students during the final presentation. They are looking forward to the next round of collaborative projects to benefit more BA students.
Four IVE student teams of Higher Diploma in Accountancy with Business Analytics programme achieved remarkable results in the Sub-degree Group of the HKICPA Business Case Competition 2023, winning six awards including a 1st Runner-up, the Best Written Proposal, the Best Presenter, and three Merit Team awards. Organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Certied Public Accountants (HKICPA), the competition this year which focused on digital entertainment business has attracted participation of over 530 students from 16 tertiary institutions with a submission of a total of 139 business proposals. All teams were required to submit a proposal to address real-life business challenges with their accounting and business knowledge. After several rounds of evaluation, four IVE student teams were among the six nalists to present their proposals and answer adjudicators’ questions, providing business solutions to settle the problem. The IVE student teams nally received six awards with their outstanding performance.
