During the year, over 400 talks

activities was also organised to
enhance understanding of VPET
among secondary school principals
and teachers, including a career
masters’ reception, principals’
forums and visits.
In suppor t of the Government’s
initiative to diversify the curricula
of senior secondary students, the
VTC has been offering a variety of
Applied Learning (ApL) programmes.
In 2014/15, the VTC offered nine
ApL cou r ses f o r some 2 , 400
Secondary 5 students, providing
them with opportunities to explore
t he i r ca r ee r asp i r a t i ons and
orientation for lifelong learning in
specific areas of study.
Deepened Interactions
with Secondary Schools
In the 2014 Policy Address, the
Chief Executive of the HKSAR
proposed to strengthen career
guidance and life planning education
for secondary students, paving the
way for a significant step forward
in helping students learn about
their strengths, interests, skills
and the available education and
career options in their early years
of secondar y education. In line
with the Government’s strategy, the
VTC has strengthened its efforts to
promote VPET in the community and
raise awareness and recognition
of VPET among students, parents,
teacher s and schools through
outreach programmes.
加強與中學互動
香港特別行政區行政長官在
2014
年
的《 施 政 報 告 》中， 提 出 要 加 強
中學生的升學就業輔導和生涯規劃
教育。這個倡議推動社會跨出重要
一步，在中學初期協助學生了解
自身的優點、興趣和能力，發掘可
供選擇的升學和就業路向，助學生
預早為前路作好準備。為配合政府
