exhibitions was held at Hong Kong
Design Institute (HKDI), which
showcased creative projects and
works from Sweden, Switzerland
and Japan, as we l l as award -
winning designs from the Red Dot
Design Museum in Germany. These
activities not only helped promote
innovation but also facilitated
cultural exchange and widened our
students’ vision. Meanwhile, the
Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI),
the Chinese Culinar y Institute
(CCI) and the International Culinary
Institute (ICI), conducted over
ten culinary demonstrations and
exchanges, offering culinary and
catering students valuable learning
opportunities from master chefs.
In the course of the year, we also
par tnered with Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) to
organise an MIT China Educational
Techno l og y I n i t i at i ve Summer
Workshop. Over 80 VTC students
joined the two-week programme
and benefited from this valuable
learning opportunity to gain new
knowledge and interact with top
students from MIT.

and maximise its impact, we will
continue to forge sustainable
par tner ships with like-minded
international institutions.
A m o n g t h e M e m o r a n d a o f
Understanding (MoUs) concluded in
2014/15 was the first agreement
between VTC and TAFE Queensland
i n Oc t obe r 2014 . Unde r t he
MoU, the two par ties will help
promote the internationalisation of
vocational education in Hong Kong
and Australia and open up new
avenues of collaboration.
