Basic Information

Students enrolled in this course will acquire cutting-edge knowledge in fashion design and textile technology. The dynamic fashion industry encompasses a wide range of professional disciplines, including fashion design, fashion illustration, product development, pattern making, and garment construction techniques. Through targeted specialized studies, students will achieve profound mastery of the essential skills and competencies required in fashion design, inspiring a new generation of passionate individuals to enter the industry.

For some modules of the programmes, the medium of instruction and assessments is Chinese.

Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Please refer to the details of Higher Diploma programmes in this homepage.

Career Prospects

Graduates may take up positions at junior fashion designers, fashion product developers, fashion illustrators, fashion pattern makers, and other related positions; or continue further studies.

Remarks

DVE students may consider taking the elective module “Mathematics 3E: Mathematics for Further Studies” for the eligibility to apply for VTC’s Higher Diploma programmes which require Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics as one of their general entrance requirements. Students may be required to pay a separate tuition fee for this elective module.
