Admission Procedures on HKDSE Result Announcement Day (16 Jul 2025)

(Applicable to (i) applicants during 10 Jun and 15 Jul 2025; and (ii) obtained conditional offer(s) on or before 25 Jun)

Please login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to check your offer results / finalised offer results from 16 Jul 9:00 a.m. onwards. If you are given a Firm Offer, you are required to follow the steps to complete the registration via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal":

  • confirm acceptance of offer from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 16 Jul; and
  • download the payment advice and offer documents, pay the registration fee and upload the registration fee payment receipt to complete the registration by 21 Jul (12:00 noon).

Central Admission Scheme

Applicants may join the "Central Admission Scheme" via "VTC S6 Admission Portal" for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education, Diploma programmes. Students may also go to campuses in person for joining the scheme and enquiry.

Applicants will be notified of the offer results on the day of submission of application.

Professional Recognition

The programme is recognised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the HKSAR as fulfilling the requirements for Registered Electrical Workers.

Qualifications for graduates to register as Grade B Electrical Workers:
  • hold a Grade A Electrical Worker Registration Certificate for at least five years and have at least three years of practical experience in electrical work.
(Grade A registered electrical workers have been employed as electrical workers for at least 5 years, of which at least 1 year includes practical experience in electrical work.)
Remarks
  1. Students are required to follow the programme arrangements stipulated by IVE, on average 3-4 evenings per week, normally 2 semesters per academic year.

  1. Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
  2. The programme is under "Vplus Engineering" of the "Vplus Subsidy Scheme". For details / enquiry of the subsidy scheme, please visit "Vplus Engineering" website or contact 3757 9237.
  3. Except English modules, the Media of Instruction (MOI) for the programme is CHINESE.
  4. Formerly called Vocational Certificate for Electrical Installation Technicians.

Entrance Requirements

  • Holding Craft Certificate (Programme Codes: EG512406 / FS312977 / FS312961 / 03744C / 73761 / 75787 / 0361 / 0363 / 0387 / 0381) or equivalent; OR
  • Possessing Grade A Electrical Worker Registration Certificate issued by EMSD with completion of Secondary 5 or Secondary 6 (NSS) or equivalent.
Remarks
  1. Shortlisted applicants are required to attend a written test in July, and will be notified through email or SMS about the arrangement of the test in early July.
