Admission Procedures on HKDSE Result Announcement Day (16 Jul 2025)

(Applicable to (i) applicants during 10 Jun and 15 Jul 2025; and (ii) obtained conditional offer(s) on or before 25 Jun)

Please login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to check your offer results / finalised offer results from 16 Jul 9:00 a.m. onwards. If you are given a Firm Offer, you are required to follow the steps to complete the registration via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal":

  • confirm acceptance of offer from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 16 Jul; and
  • download the payment advice and offer documents, pay the registration fee and upload the registration fee payment receipt to complete the registration by 21 Jul (12:00 noon).

Central Admission Scheme

Applicants may join the "Central Admission Scheme" via "VTC S6 Admission Portal" for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education, Diploma programmes. Students may also go to campuses in person for joining the scheme and enquiry.

Applicants will be notified of the offer results on the day of submission of application.

*Upon completion of the Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) programmes, students can progress to Degree programmes in VTC, subject to their BTEC and IGCSE results.
  1. These are the entrance requirements of Year 1 entry.
  2. For 2024 HKDSE and before, a "Grade D or E" and a "Grade C or above" in an HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively; From 2025 HKDSE onwards, Language Proficiency Level A2 or above in French / German / Spanish, N3 or above in Japanese and TOPIK II: Grade 3 or above in Korean are also recognised as one of the five HKDSE subjects in fulfilling the general entrance requirement (Subject to approval by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ)). One Other Language subject can be counted for admission purpose.
  3. An "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in an HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject (Category B subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2", "Level 3" and "Level 4" respectively, and a maximum of two ApL subjects (excluding ApL(C)) can be counted for admission purpose. The results of relevant ApL subjects will be considered in the application for Degree programmes. Relevant ApL subject include: Popular Music Production.
  4. An “Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development is regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at “Level 2” for admission purpose.
  5. HKDSE Liberal Studies at Level 2 or above will be recognised for meeting the subject requirement of Citizenship and Social Development.

Career Prospects
On completion of the programme, graduates may work in creative media development of different organisations, pop culture companies, sound mix studios, post-production houses, advertising firms, and audio production department in television broadcast. Other job opportunities include musicians, sound designers, film music composers, sound technicians, sound engineers, music producers, artist managers, music show management, event management, etc.

Remarks
  1. The study duration of Degree programmes is normally 4 years. The tuition fees of Degree programmes are charged according to the number of credit points taken during a semester. Students have to complete at least 120 to 132 credit points for graduation.
