To accommodate the needs of the non-Chinese speaking population, the VLPO has specially designed two Cantonese courses, namely Survival Cantonese and Socialising Cantonese,for non-Chinese speakers in Hong Kong.
Course Objectives
Survival Cantonese
At the end of the course, learners will be able to
use common Cantonese expressions for self-introduction;
use Cantonese to express numbers, times and dates;
use basic Cantonese for shopping;
Socialising Cantonese
At the end of the course, learners will be able to
use Cantonese to order food and drinks in restaurants;
use Cantonese to address enqiries, such as directions;
use simple Cantonese to get around Hong Kong;.
