To help promote and facilitate
environmentally-friendly practices in
schools, we were a co-organiser of the
Hong Kong Green School Award, which
covers Pre-school, Primary School and
Secondary School categories. The
Child Education Centre for Teaching
and Learning of IVE Childcare, Elderly
and Community Services Discipline
developed and provided environmental
education resources to 150
kindergartens through the ECF-funded
Kids’ Greenway initiative.
On the energy-saving side, the VTC was
a named partner for promoting green
buildings in the Government’s Energy
Saving Plan released in May 2015.
We have been collaborating with the
Hong Kong Green Building Council to
promote green building and related
environmental programmes.

The VTC attaches great importance
to corporate social responsibility
and environmental protection. Staff
and students were engaged in many
meaningful community and social
activities during the year, benefiting the
needy and others in society.

Responsibility
Various in-house practices are in
place to conserve resources, with
specific progress targets set for
achieving environmental goals. VTC
was honoured with a Gold Award
and an Excellence Award under the
school category of the Yan Oi Tong
Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme
2015/16, as well as receiving ‘Friends
of Ecopark’ recognition.

VTC
十分重視企業社會責任及環保課題。
年內，員工和學生參與多個別具意義的
社區和社會公益活動，幫助弱勢社群。
勵行環保 承擔企業社會責任
VTC
內部推行各類節約資源的措施，
並訂立環保進度目標。我們獲得「塑出
環保、膠給仁愛堂」塑膠回收伙伴計劃
2015-16
（學校組別）金獎和卓越大獎，
亦獲嘉許為「環保園之友」。
我們協辦「香港綠色學校獎」計劃，鼓勵
全港幼兒學校、小學及中學制訂措施推
行環保。

VTC
作為當中的
指定伙伴，協力推動綠色建築。我們又
一直與香港綠色建築議會合作，提倡綠
色建築，並推廣相關環境計劃。
