Promoting Good
Corporate
Citizenship
The VTC places much emphasis
on corporate social responsibility
and environmental protection. In
2014/15, we proactively fulfilled
our soc i a l respons i b i l i t i es by
carrying out a number of activities
to promote giving back to the
community and a caring culture.
Giving Back to
the Community
We en c ou r a g e ou r s t a f f and
students to participate in voluntary
and c ommu n i t y a c t i v i t i e s t o
cultivate a strong sense of social
responsibility. During the year, over
14,600 VTC students and staff
participated in a city-wide Volunteer
Movement project organised by the
Social Welfare Department.
In addition, our students actively
participated in various community
events such as the Hong Kong
Spec i a l Ol ymp i cs , Hong Kong
Flower Show and the ‘Walkathon for
Brightness’ organised by the Hong
Kong Blind Sports Federation. Some
THEi students also took part in the
‘Bridge to China’ Project, helping
the needy by constructing bridges
and buildings in rural China.
The VTC a l so suppo r t ed t he
Hong Kong Association of Senior
Citizens in co-organising its second
Grandparents’ Day. This event is

In recognition of our commitment
to corporate social responsibility,
we were awarded the ‘10 Years
Plus Caring Organisation’ mark
during the year. Our Peer Counselor
Association registered under the
VTC Alumni Ser vices was also
named Champion of the Open Group
in the 2014 Volunteer Movement
Video Contest, aimed at showcasing
the spirit of volunteerism and
inspiring more people to become
volunteers.
回饋社會
我們鼓勵教職員及學生參與志願工
作和社會公益活動，力求增強他們
的社會責任感。年內，逾
14,600
名
學生及員工響應參加社會福利署舉
辦的全城義工運動。
此外，
VTC
學生亦積極參加多類社會
公益事務，例如香港特殊奧運、香
港花卉展覽及由香港盲人體育總會
舉辦的「心連心光明行」步行籌款活
動。
THEi
學生代表更參加「無止橋」
項目，義助中國內地農村修建橋樑
和樓房設施。
VTC
又協助香港長者協會舉辦第二屆
「祖父母日」，發揮敬老精神，鼓勵
跨世代家庭成員融洽相處，弘揚孝
道。

標誌。我們以校友服務組織名義
註冊的朋輩輔導員聯會參與
2014
義工運動短片創作比賽，奪得公開
組 冠 軍， 以聲畫創意宣傳助人
精神，感染更多人加入義工行列。
