Admission Procedures on HKDSE Result Announcement Day (16 Jul 2025)

(Applicable to (i) applicants during 10 Jun and 15 Jul 2025; and (ii) obtained conditional offer(s) on or before 25 Jun)

Please login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to check your offer results / finalised offer results from 16 Jul 9:00 a.m. onwards. If you are given a Firm Offer, you are required to follow the steps to complete the registration via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal":

  • confirm acceptance of offer from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 16 Jul; and
  • download the payment advice and offer documents, pay the registration fee and upload the registration fee payment receipt to complete the registration by 21 Jul (12:00 noon).

Central Admission Scheme

Applicants may join the "Central Admission Scheme" via "VTC S6 Admission Portal" for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education, Diploma programmes. Students may also go to campuses in person for joining the scheme and enquiry.

Applicants will be notified of the offer results on the day of submission of application.

Basic Information

The programme aims to equip students with generic and vocational knowledge and skills in a specific vocational field, as well as to develop students’ transferable skills, attitude and values, so as to facilitate their entry to the employment market and/or further studies. The Design programme covers mainly fundamental knowledge and skills required in various areas including graphic and media design, 3D design and fashion design.

Articulation
  • Meritorious graduates, based on the internal and/or external academic results, may apply for admission to relevant Degree programmes offered by local and non-local universities, subject to fulfillment of specific entrance requirements, if any. Please check with individual institutions for any specific entrance requirements.
  • Holders of Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate are considered having met the general entrance requirements of VTC’s Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements).
Career Prospects
Graduates may be employed as trainees or assistants to designers in the area of graphics, photography, film & TV, multi-media, fashion and image, product, interior, architecture and landscape, visual arts etc. They can also be future professionals who can apply art and design concepts in various fields of work.

Design graduate Hosea Cheung awarded $1.5 million in HKSES

Hosea Cheung, a graduate of the DVB (Design), was awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme 2021/22. He is the first student from Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) background to receive this distinguished scholarship. Each awardee receives close to HK$1.5 million as full scholarship.

Hong Kong Smart Design Award 2024

Design student, Martin To, has distinguished himself at the Hong Kong Smart Design Awards 2024. He received the Merit Award in the Conceptual Category and was the sole recipient of the Student Award in the Product Group.
