Admission Procedures on HKDSE Result Announcement Day (15 Jul 2026)

(Applicable to (i) applicants during 9 Jun and 14 Jul 2026; and (ii) obtained conditional offer(s) on or before 24 Jun)

Please login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to check your offer results / finalised offer results from 15 Jul 9:00 a.m. onwards. If you are given a Firm Offer, you are required to follow the steps to complete the registration via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal":

confirm acceptance of offer from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 15 Jul; and
download the payment advice and offer documents, pay the registration fee and upload the registration fee payment receipt to complete the registration by 20 Jul (12:00 noon).

Central Admission Scheme

Applicants may join the "Central Admission Scheme" via "VTC S6 Admission Portal" for admission to Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education and Diploma programmes from 15 July 9:00 a.m. to 20 July 12:00 noon. Applicants will be notified of the offer result within one day of application submission.

Applicants may also visit THEi / IVE / HKDI / HKIIT / HTI / CCI / ICI / YC campuses in person for on-site application and enquiries.

Basic Information

The programme equips registered apprentices with sound technical knowledge and practical skills of lift and escalator engineering. Vocational modules include Motors and Transformer, Single-Phase and Three-Phase Circuits, Escalator Installation and Maintenance, Lift and Escalator Examination and Testing, Lift Installation, Lift Maintenance, etc.

Professional Recognition

The programme is recognised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the HKSAR as meeting the academic requirement for registered lift / escalator worker.

Remarks

Students are required to follow the programme arrangements stipulated by YC, on average 1 day and 1 - 2 evenings per week, normally 3 semesters per academic year. The actual curriculum hours may be slightly different from the normal curriculum hours due to the electives chosen.
Some classes will be conducted at Youth College (Kwai Chung).

Notes

Most of the modules in the programmes are conducted and assessed in Chinese.
Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
Applicants with higher qualifications, holders of BCC in other streams or those who possess relevant work experience may apply for study exemption for some of the modules.

Graduates may further their studies in the Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programme. Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed as lift / escalator workers in different areas such as maintenance, installation and examination. With relevant working experience, graduates may apply for registered lift/escalator workers.
