Project-based Learning (PBL)
Through mini-projects, students are equipped with basic project skills.

Students are motivated and their learning interest is aroused by using different means of technologies.
Professional Recognition
The programme is approved by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the HKSAR Government as a pre-requisite for recognition as a Licensed Plumber.
Basic Information
Professional Recognition
- Students are required to follow the programme arrangements stipulated by YC, on average 1 day and 1 evening per week, normally 3 semesters per academic year.
- Chinese is used as the medium of instruction and assessments of the programme, supplemented with English technical terms when required.
- Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.
Entrance Requirements
- Completion of Secondary 3 AND Sponsored by an Employer;OR
- Equivalent AND Sponsored by an Employer
- Applicants meeting the minimum entrance requirements may be invited to an admission test. The admission test may take the form of a written test and/or an oral interview.
Articulation / Employment
The programme is approved by the Water Supplies Department (WSD) of the HKSAR as a pre-requisite for recognition as a Licensed Plumber.
Graduates may be employed in construction sites or renovation companies as craftsmen in plumbing and pipefitting.
They may also attend short courses to help them acquire plumbers' licences recognised by the Water Supplies Department. Pursuant to the Waterworks Ordinance, all plumbing installation (except some minor works) must be undertaken by Licensed Plumbers. As there is a great demand for qualified plumbers in the construction industry, the programme provides a good career prospect for our graduates.

Tuition Fees
- Some students may be required to study bridging modules or enhancement programmes to better support their study; or to attend additional training and industrial attachment, for which separate fees will be charged.
- Tuition fees are subject to annual review.
