Basic Information

The programme provides students with professional training in the areas of Beauty Therapy / Make-up with an emphasis on the required knowledge and skills and the related professional ethics for the Beauty industry, so as to be prepared for future career. Graduates may start their careers in the beauty care / make-up sector, or further studies.

Remarks

Normally 3 semesters during one academic year, depending on students’ study progress and academic results.
For some modules of the programme, the medium of instruction and assessments is Chinese.
Students may be required to attend classes on other VTC campuses. VTC reserves the right to cancel any programme, revise programme title, content or change the offering institute(s) / campus(es) / class venue(s) if circumstances so warrant.

Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Remarks

DVE students who have not obtained Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics may consider taking the elective module “Mathematics 3E: Mathematics for Further Studies” for the eligibility to apply for VTC’s Higher Diploma programmes which require Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics as one of their entrance requirements.

Remarks

The study duration of Diploma of Vocational Education programmes is normally 1 year. The tuition fee is payable in two installments. Each installment is HK$11,410.
In addition to tuition fees, students will be required to pay other fees, such as caution money and students’ union annual fees.
Some students may be required to study bridging modules or enhancement programmes to support their study; or to attend additional training, industrial attachments, public examinations for which separate fees will be charged.
Tuition fees are subject to annual review.
