Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Multimedia, Digital Media, Games and Animation or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
For Information and Communications Technology: |
|
|
(i) |
Proficiency is required in at least one of the following: Programming (Java, Python, C# or C++), Web Design and Development, Server Application Development; Network Technology, holder of CCNA / CCNP certification is preferred; |
|
|
(ii) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence application development, web application development, software development on multiplatform and/or design and implementation of computer networks; |
|
(c) |
For Multimedia and Entertainment Technology: |
|
|
(i) |
Knowledge and/or solid experience in at least one of the following topics: Game Level Design, Interactive Multimedia Applications Development, VR / AR Application Development, Mobile Application/Game Development, UI Design, Generative AI, MCP Application, C++ and/or C# Programming, Game Development, 3D Animation Development, Stage Management, Sound System and Design, Video System and Design, Lighting System and Design, Live Streaming with multicamera setup, Metaverse Technology, Immersive Experience Design; |
|
|
(ii) |
Preferably experience in using at least one of the following tools: Unity3D, Unreal, Blender, ComfyUI, Pro Tools, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effect), 3Ds Max, Resolume Arena, Processing and/or Maya; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(e) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage; |
|
(f) |
Preferred Putonghua Proficiency: |
|
|
(i) |
Mother tongue / language is Putonghua; or |
|
|
(ii) |
Received a bachelor’s degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua; or |
|
|
(iii) |
Have at least 3 years’ work experience in the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
|
|
(iv) |
Attainment of Grade 3B or above at the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work; and |
|
(g) |
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching senior secondary students, particularly those with a background in delivering vocational programmes. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
