Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e)
|
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
(a)
|
A recognised degree in Film / TV, Creative Media, Drama, Acting, Stage Performance or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience in Film/TV, preferably at an appropriate level of responsibility; |
|
(c) |
Good teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skill in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
|
(e) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an advantage; and |
(f)
|
For Acting:
Solid experience in one of the areas: drama acting, screen acting, non-drama performance, action/fight choreography, along with skills in movement, physicality, voice and speech;
For Film Directing:
Proven experience as a director or assistant director of feature films or TV drama and familiar with professional industry practices. |

Notes: |

|
Applicants with less relevant experience and / or qualification may be considered for the post of “Term / Part-time Assistant Lecturer” which is at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
(3)
|
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
