    Part-time (Evening) Technician
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin)
     
    Department / Section : Department of Engineering

    Subject Areas:
    (i) Computer and Electronic Engineering
    (ii) Building Services Engineering (Electrical / Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning)
       
    Major Duties:
    (a) To provide technical support for teaching activities as well as special projects and events;
    (b) To assist in laboratory equipment installation / maintenance and training session preparation;
    (c) To assist lecturers during laboratory / practical classes;
    (d) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment; and
    (e) To assist in the implementation of safety measures in laboratories and maintaining the tidiness of the workshops/studios/laboratories.
         
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in computer and electronic engineering, building services engineering or relevant disciplines;
    (b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
    (c) Knowledge of safety management for dangerous substances; and
    (d) Good work initiative and be a good team player.
       
    Notes:
    (1) Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a trade test.
    (2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
