Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Good records of connection with the industry or professional bodies will be an added advantage; and |
|
(e) |
Preferred Qualifications (Putonghua Proficiency): |
|
|
(i) |
Native Putonghua speaker; or |
|
|
(ii) |
Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher where the medium of instruction was Mandarin; or |
|
|
(iii) |
Have at least 3 years of work experience in mainland China or other Putonghua-speaking countries / regions; or |
|
|
(iv) |
Have passed the Putonghua Proficiency Test with a score of at least Level 3B (三級乙等) or above. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer” at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
