The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for part-time (Daytime) Lecturer posts for the programme of BSc (Hons) Architectural Studies offered at SHAPE (DILWL) in the academic year 2026/27. |

Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To conduct lectures, tutorials and perform teaching duties at the bachelor’s degree level; |
|
(b) |
To carry out academic-related administration duties, including setting and marking assignments, moderation, and serving in academic and other related meetings; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 4 years’ relevant teaching / work experience in the respective field(s); |
|
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in English; |
|
(d) |
Expertise in computer software such as Autodesk, CAD, 3D rendering packages, Adobe software suite, digital fabrication software, BIM, and AI; |
|
(e) |
Knowledge of tender drawings and construction detail drawings; |
|
(f) |
Knowledge on building and related regulations in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom; |
|
(g) |
Specialties on sustainability and construction knowledge; |
|
(h) |
Knowledge in Hong Kong and United Kingdom practices; and |
|
(i) |
Knowledge in diverse architecture theories and discourses. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
