與學習，尤其是透過虛擬現實和擴
增實境平台，將真實世界體驗帶進

售體驗廊便為突出一例。零售體驗
廊配備先進零售設施和模擬實景
器材，為學生提供一個與行業接軌
的學習環境，高效實踐所學。
藉着新置的軟硬件設施，我們能為
學生提供更齊備而活力洋溢的學習
環境。我們將繼續新增場地和設
施，以推進職業專才教育的發展。
Developing Our Campuses

teaching and learning environment

professionals, we continue to invest
substantial resources in upgrading
and enhancing the infrastructure
and training facilities of our member
institutions.
Among the capital projects now
well in hand are the International
Culinar y Institute in Pokfulam,
t a r g e t e d f o r c omp l e t i o n i n
2017/18; a new campus for THEi
in Chai Wan, due to be operational
by 2017; and a brand-new 12-storey
student dormitory at the Hong Kong
Institute of Vocational Education
(IVE) Tsing Yi, which will come into
use by end of 2015.
We are also making good use
of new technologies to enhance
teaching and learning, in particular
by bringing real-world experiences
into the classroom through virtual
rea l i t y and augmented rea l i t y
platforms. A good example is the
newly-established Retail Lab on
our IVE (Haking Wong) campus,
which is equipped with state-of-the-
art retail facilities and simulators
to provide students with a virtual
learning environment where they
can practise their skills.
Through these new hardware and
software facilities, we are able to
offer our students an improved
and dynamic learning environment.
We shall continue to add new
sites and facilities to support the
development of VPET.
