Application for Full-time Secondary 6 or above Programmes
Submission of Application
Applicants may submit their application for VTC full-time Degree (Year 1 Entry of Self-financed programmes), Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education (S6), Diploma programmes via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal". Applicants are able to submit / update their programme choices, fill in their academic qualifications, upload supporting documents, check application status, arrangement of interview and offer announcement via the Portal. The application for full-time programmes in AY2026/27 starts on 6 Nov 2025. Applicants may refer to this Admissions Homepage for details of relevant application procedures.
First time applicant is required to create a user account at "VTC S6 Admission Portal". Upon successful creation of the user account, the system will send a confirmation email to applicant’s registered email address.
Applicant can login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" with their registered email address and password, please click on “Submit / View Application Form” to submit programme choice, fill in qualification and pay the application fee. Applicants may refer to the user guide of the “VTC S6 Admission Portal”for procedures of creating new user account and submission of application.
Applicants may update their programme choice and academic qualifications via “Submit / View Application Form” in the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" before application deadline. Applicants can also change their personal particulars via "Change Personal Particulars" button on the top-right corner (for desktop) or the menu on the top-right corner (for mobile).
If applicants need to amend the English name, HKID No. and Date of Birth, they are required to download and submit the completed Change of Particulars Notification Form together with copy of relevant supporting documents to the VTC Admissions Office. Applicant may also authorise a representative to act on his/her behalf.

Applicants can click on "Submit / View Application Form" of the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to check their application and payment status. Upon confirmation of the settlement of applicants’ application fee, the system will show “You have successfully submitted your application form and paid the application fee" status in "Application Status".
Please make sure the payment is made correctly with the “7-Eleven QR Code”, "FPS QR code" or “14-digit Payment Number” generated by the system on or before the application deadline (each application has a unique QR code & payment number which is only applicable to that application). It normally takes 2 working days for the VTC Admissions Office to verify application fee payment record. Applicants are advised to pay the application fee as early as possible. Application will only be processed after the application form is submitted and the application fee is settled.
Please upload the payment receipt / screen capture to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" for verification. Normally, it takes 2 working days for the VTC Admissions Office to verify application fee payment record. Please contact the VTC Admissions Office at 2897 6111 or email: admission@vtc.edu.hk if the record does not show correctly after 2 working days.
After the E-APP application reached VTC, applicants will be notified by email to login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to provide supplementary information and pay the application fee before the specified deadline. The application is completed when "You have successfully submitted your application form and paid the application fee" is shown in the system.
Applicants may change / reprioritise the programme choices, check the arrangement of interview and offer result via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" during the designated period. Please refer to the Application Procedures on this homepage for details.
Applicants may also login to "VTC S6 Admission Portal", click "Change Personal Particulars" button on the top-right corner (for desktop) or the menu on the top-right corner (for mobile) to update the check box of unsubscribing direct marketing information.
Academic Qualifications and Programme Information
Applicants can apply with the results of the same public examination obtained in different years. The best grade of multiple attempts on a particular subject will be assessed for admission.
The public examination results of the old and new academic structures will not normally be considered in combination in the assessment for admission. Some programmes may have other specific entrance requirements. Please refer to the Application Information for details and entrance requirements of individual programme.

Holders with both HKALE and HKCEE results may apply for Degree and Higher Diploma programmes.
Applicants may apply with other local, Mainland or non-local qualifications. Applications will be assessed individually by the departments concerned. Please give relevant details and upload copies of the result slips during application.

- The applicant has learnt Chinese Language for less than six years while receiving primary and secondary education. This caters specifically to applicants who have a late start in the learning of Chinese Language (e.g. due to their settlement in Hong Kong well past the entry level) or who have been educated in Hong Kong sporadically; OR
- The applicant has learnt Chinese Language for six years or more in schools, but has been taught an adapted and simpler Chinese Language curriculum not normally applicable to the majority of students in the local schools.
Category B - Applied Learning Subjects:
- An “Attained”, "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in a Category B subjects are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at “Level 2”, “Level 3” and “Level 4” respectively, (Only the results of relevant ApL subjects will be considered in the application for Degree programmes).
Category C - Other Languages Subjects:
- For 2024 HKDSE and before, a "Grade D or E" and a "Grade C or above" in an HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively. From 2025 HKDSE onwards, Language Proficiency Level A2 or above in French / German / Spanish, N3 or above in Japanese and TOPIK II: Grade 3 or above in Korean are also recognised as one of the five HKDSE subjects in fulfilling the general entrance requirement. Recognition of Urdu Language subject in 2026 HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) will be announced later. For details, please click here. One Other Language subject can be counted for admission purpose.
Applicants who will attain the Diploma of Foundation Studies / Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate awarded by VTC in 2026 can login to the "VTC Articulation Portal” via student CNA email to submit the programme choices. Your internal qualification results will be extracted from respective member institutions. You may also provide your HKDSE result and supplementary information (if any) via the Portal. Higher Diploma graduates may progress to Degree programmes in a diversified range of pathways, including tailor-made Top-up Degree programmes offered by THEi and SHAPE which covering different areas of study. For local students meeting the criteria and enrolled in eligible self-financing Top-up Degree programmes, they are eligible for the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies (NMTSS) which receiving annual subsidy of $35,120 (for AY2025/26) from the Hong Kong Government. In addition, graduates may choose to pursue further studies in local universities through the non-JUPAS Admission Scheme or to pursue studies at overseas universities.
Diploma of Foundation Studies graduates and holders of the Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements).
Students of Diploma of Foundation Studies / Diploma of Vocational Education who have not obtained Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics may consider taking the optional mathematics module for acquiring the eligibility to apply for VTC's Higher Diploma programmes which require Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics as one of their general entrance requirements.
Students of Diploma of Foundation Studies programmes may choose to take the optional module “Foundation Mathematics III” with a separate tuition fee.
Students of Diploma of Vocational Education programmes may choose to take the elective module “Mathematics 3E: Mathematics for Further Studies”, for which a separate tuition fee may be charged.
Some programmes may have specific entrance requirements. Please refer to the entrance requirements of individual programmes for details.
Diploma programmes offered by Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI), Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI), and International Culinary Institute (ICI) are geared to prepare students for employment after graduation. Graduates may articulate to Professional Certificate / Diploma programmes after having accumulated work experiences in the industry. For enquiries, please contact the Offering Institutes.
Except for specific programmes or modules of specific content, the medium of instruction for Degree, Higher Diploma and Diploma of Foundation Studies programmes is English and may be supplemented with Chinese, as when and where required. For some modules of Diploma of Vocational Education programmes (S6), the medium of instruction and assessments is Chinese. The medium of instruction for Diploma programmes is Chinese supplemented with English Terminology.

Study Subsidy Scheme for Degree Programmes
From the AY2017/18, the Government provides a non-means-tested annual subsidy for eligible students pursuing full-time locally-accredited local and non-local self-financing undergraduate (including top-up degree) programmes in Hong Kong (save for those enrolled in places already supported under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors) offered by eligible institutions. SSSDP was launched as a new initiative under the 2014 Policy Address to subsidise about 1,000 students per cohort starting from the AY2015/16 to pursue designated full-time locally-accredited self-financing undergraduate programmes in selected disciplines.
It has been announced in the 2017 Policy Address that SSSDP would be regularised in the AY2018/19 with an increased number of subsidised places in undergraduate programmes to about 3,000 per cohort.

Students can receive subsidies from HK$46,780 or HK$89,620 per academic year under the SSSDP. Local applicants can apply for the subsidised places under the SSSDP through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS). If you would like to apply for other programmes (e.g. Degree (Year-2 / Year-3 entry), Full-time Secondary 3 programmes, Certificate or Part-time programmes), please submit your application via the "VTC Web-based Admissions System".

Fill in Application Form
After created a user account, you may start filling in the application form by login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" with your registered email address and password. Please click here for the detailed application procedures. After submission of application form, please pay the application fee according to the system's instruction.
Applicants who will attain the Diploma of Foundation Studies / Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate awarded by VTC in 2026 can login to the "VTC Articulation Portal” via student CNA email to submit the programme choices. Your internal qualification results will be extracted from respective member institutions. For details, please refer to the system user guide.
Applicants can upload separated files by qualification type or taking photos of relevant documents by mobile device. Files in pdf / jpg / zip format within 10 MB can be uploaded to the portal. You can upload a maximum of 5 documents per section.
If applicants encounter difficulties in uploading copies of result slips / qualifications / supporting documents to the system, please submit copies of relevant documents to the VTC Admissions Office by email (Email: admission@vtc.edu.hk). Please write down applicant’s name, HKID no. and contact phone no. on the back of the copies.
