Application for AY2026/27 Full-time Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education and Diploma programmes

- Interviews for Higher Diploma in Social Work will be conducted in May 2026. Applicants who have submitted application and paid the application fee on or before 28 February 2026 may be invited to attend an interview. Applicants who are invited to attend an interview will normally be notified 2 days before the interview. For applications submitted after February, applicants are invited to join Central Admission in July 2026.
- Applicants should change / re-prioritise programme choices and check the arrangement of interview (if applicable) and offer announcement via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal".
- Applicants who are given "Firm Offer" should download the payment advice and offer documents via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" and complete registration before the stipulated deadline.

- Submit personal information and academic qualifications
- Select programme choice(s) in each category to increase the opportunity for admission. Applicant may select a maximum of 8 programmes, with no more than
- 1 Degree programme;
- 3 Higher Diploma programmes;
- 2 Diploma of Foundation Studies programmes; and
- 2 Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma programmes
(Indicate at least 2 campus preferences for programmes with more than 1 offering campus)

- Pay the application fee
If applicants submit an application and pay the application fee during 6 Nov 2025 to 28 Feb 2026, they will:
- be eligible to join Principal’s Nomination Scheme;
- get a chance to be invited to attend interview(s);
- obtain conditional offer / firm offer results starting from late Mar 2026;
- receive up-to-date programme and admission information via email or SMS.
Notes:
- For students under the age of 18 as of 1 September of the admission year, consent from their parents / guardians will be required for enrollment into VTC programme.
- Programmes listed in this homepage accept applications only from local students.

Definition of Local / Non-local Students
Provision of any FALSE or MISLEADING information in your application will lead to DISQUALIFICATION without notice and cancellation of any resultant registration. Any fees paid will not be refunded.
Please submit the application by the following methods during 6 Nov 2025 to 28 Feb 2026:
- Applicants can login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal". They must first register for an account to access the portal, and then follow the prescribed steps and instructions to complete their application.
- Current HKDSE students may apply through E-APP. After the E-APP application reached VTC, applicants will be notified by email to login to the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" to provide supplementary information and pay the application fee.

- Please provide a valid and correct email address and mobile phone number in your application. Important information will be sent to you by email and SMS (SMS will be sent with Registered SMS Sender ID having prefix “#” via the mobile service providers in Hong Kong).
- After submitting the application, you should inform the VTC Admissions Office immediately of any changes to your personal particulars. Applicants may update the registered email address, log-in password, Chinese name, contact no., corresponding address etc via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal". Local Qualifications
- Applicants' Hong Kong public examination results will be extracted from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority’s records.
- Applicants can apply with results of the same public examination obtained in different years. The best grade of multiple attempts on a particular subject will be assessed for admission.
- Applicant may provide information on Other Learning Experiences and Achievement by 11 May 2026, and upload copies of the Student Learning Profile. The submission of Student Learning Profile is optional.
- Applicants who will obtain Diploma of Applied Education in 2026, please submit copies of the result slip / certificate to the VTC Admissions Office by email on or before 11 Jul 2026 (12 noon). Applicants should apply for their Diploma of Applied Education results slip or certificate at their institution as soon as possible.
- For VTC graduates (Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies / Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate / SBI Yi Jin Diploma / SBI Diploma Yi Jin / Diploma of Applied Education), their academic qualifications will be extracted from VTC’s Student Records System.
Other Local, Mainland and Other Non-local Qualifications
- Applicants may apply with other local, Mainland or non-local qualifications. Applications will be assessed individually by the departments concerned. Please give relevant details in the section on "Other Local / Mainland / Non-local Qualifications" and upload copies of the result slips.
Supplementary Information
- Applicants with Special Educational Needs
- Applicants with special circumstances: hearing impairment, visual impairment, physical handicap, speech impairment, intellectual disability, mental illness, autism spectrum disorder, visceral disability / chronic illness, specific learning difficulties, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder.

- Mature Applicants
- If applicants are aged 25 or above on or before 1 Sep 2026 and they do not meet the entrance requirements for Degree programmes OR aged 21 or above on or before 1 Sep 2026 and they do not meet the entrance requirements for Higher Diploma, Diploma of Foundation Studies, Diploma of Vocational Education or Diploma programmes, they may apply for admission as a mature applicant.
- Applications from mature applicants will be considered on an individual basis. They must demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge, potential and ability that they would likely complete the programme successfully. Applicants will not have priority over other applicants, and only a limited number of places are offered to suitable mature applicants.

The Vocational Training Council (VTC) offers the Principal's Nomination Scheme (PNS) to admit students with outstanding achievements in non-academic areas (e.g. STEAM projects, sports, music, creative art and writing, social services, leadership, etc.) or Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET) / industry-related subjects / activities, to our Higher Diploma (HD) programmes*.
- Current Secondary 6 students with outstanding achievements in non-academic areas or VPET / industry-related subjects / activities, who have completed application procedures for admission to AY2026/27 full-time programmes for Secondary 6 students via the "VTC S6 Admission Portal" on or before 28 February 2026, are eligible for nomination under PNS.
- School Principals may submit online nominations and supporting documents during 2 February to 15 May 2026. Details of nomination procedure will be sent to schools in late January 2026.
- Successful nominees will receive Firm Offer of Higher Diploma programme* in late June 2026, before the announcement of HKDSE results.
- For licensing HD programmes - Higher Diploma in Child Care and Education (CE114301), Higher Diploma in Social Work (CE114303) and Higher Diploma in Special Child Care and Inclusive Education (CE114305), applicants should have met the programme entrance requirements upon registration.
- For programmes with specific entrance requirements, including academic qualifications and/or interview/test, applicants should have met the stipulated requirements.
