VTC Exceptional Students Awarded The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships - Vocational Education Scholarship in AY 2022/23

VTC Chairman Mr Tony Tai, accompanied by Executive Director Mr Donald Tong, Director of the Institutional Advancement Office Ms Winnie Ngan, and a group of VTC scholars of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships (HKJC Scholarships), attended the prestigious 25th Anniversary High Table Dinner & Recognition Ceremony of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarships on November 2, 2023.

The annual ceremony honors students who exhibit exceptional academic performance, exemplary character, strong leadership abilities, and active participation in community service. This year, a total of 18 VTC students, who have attained remarkable academic achievements and displayed a dedicated commitment to serving the community, were granted scholarships for overseas study or higher diploma programs.

Scholars from diverse tertiary institutions had the valuable opportunity to connect and engage with fellow participants during the event. Several scholars shared their personal stories of how the scholarship program had a transformative impact on their lives, igniting a sense of purpose to make meaningful contributions to society. These VTC scholars were profoundly inspired by their experiences and held deep appreciation not only for the support received from The Hong Kong Jockey Club but also for their unwavering commitment to diligent study. They expressed a resolute determination to actively contribute to society in the future, extending their assistance to those in need.

Over the course of the last 25 years, the HKJC Scholarships have made a significant impact by providing support to over 1,000 students, with more than 120 of them being students from the VTC. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the consistent and steadfast support we have received from The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
