Certificate Programme Overview

Hospitality and Tourism / Chinese Cuisine / International Cuisine Programmes
The Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI), Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI), and International Culinary Institute (ICI) offer a range of certificate programmes covering hotel operations and various culinary disciplines, tailored to industry needs. The typical duration of these programmes ranges from six months to two years.

Our institutions are equipped with cutting-edge training facilities, including the T Hotel (a training hotel), Chinese and Western training restaurants, multi-cuisine training kitchens, Wine and Beverage Laboratory, etc. Through practical experience serving guests, students gain valuable hands-on skills to prepare for careers in the hotel, tourism, and catering industries.

Upon completing the relevant courses and specific modules, students can choose to articulate to the diploma programmes in hotel operations, food and beverage service, Chinese culinary, or international culinary arts offered by the institutes.

VTC diploma qualifications are widely recognised, and the institutes also provide employment referral services to assist graduates in entering the industry or various hospitality organisations.

Maritime Programme
The Certificate for Junior General Purpose Ratings, offered by the Maritime Training Institute (MSTI), is recognised by the Hong Kong Marine Department and meets the requirements of International Convention on Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
