Discipline Overview of Hospitality

Hospitality :

While the hospitality and tourism industry is one of the major pillars of the Hong Kong economy, sport and recreation is an important social fabric of any community and an integral part of everyday life.  Being Asia’s World City, the level of professionalism and service standards required by the industry is constantly evolving in Hong Kong.  IVE Hospitality offers industry relevant programmes in three major areas: Hotel and Catering, Tourism and MICE, and Leisure and Sports, which are supported by excellent facilities and well-balanced curricula. With a practical approach to teaching and learning, students are required to undertake industrial attachment to gain real life work experience in their relevant studies.  After graduation, students can pursue further studies or have a head start in their chosen career field.

International Cuisine / Chinese Cuisine :

The Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and International Culinary Institute (ICI) provide vocational and professional education and training in Chinese and international culinary arts, wine and event management to strengthen Hong Kong’s reputation as Asia’s wine-and-dine destination. CCI endeavours to provide systematic training in Chinese cuisine for youngsters to obtain their professional qualifications and elevate the professional standard and status of Chinese chefs. ICI offers a wide range of quality, professional culinary programmes as well as wine and international theme park and event management programmes to groom aspiring youths for career development in the related industries.
