Programme Content
The programme aims at strengthening the technical competence of those already in employment with relevant qualifications to complement their experience in electronics, computer and digital systems as well as the telecommunications and surveillance industry. Vocational modules include Digital and Analogue Circuits, Robotics and Programming, Sound and Lighting Systems, Building Security System, etc.
Career Prospects
Graduates may be employed in the servicing areas of electronic engineering and computer engineering. They may work in the areas of computer systems and equipment, firmware products and embedded systems, robotics and automated systems, beauty and healthcare electronics, office and home automation, internet service providers, mobile communications systems, green-lighting systems, intelligent domestic surveillance systems, digital broadcasting systems, audio video and lighting control.
Articulation
Graduates may further their studies in the Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programme. Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements).   1. For some modules of the programmes, the medium of instruction and assessments is Chinese.
