Basic Information

The programme aims at helping students to develop, through a balanced curriculum with generic and vocational knowledge and skills, and structured whole person development competencies in a specific trade so as to enhance their opportunities for employment and/or further studies. The Jewellery Design and Technology Programme covers mainly the necessary trade-specific knowledge, technology and skills required in the jewellery design industry. Graduates may choose to seek employment or further their studies.

Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Please refer to the details of Higher Diploma programmes in this homepage.
Career Prospects
Graduates may receive further professional training to become jewellery designers, marketing / merchandising specialists, or manufacturing technologists.

Remarks
  1. DVE students may consider taking the elective module “Mathematics 3E: Mathematics for Further Studies” for the eligibility to apply for VTC’s Higher Diploma programmes which require Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics as one of their general entrance requirements. Students may be required to pay a separate tuition fee for this elective module.

Tuition Fees

Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 graduates will normally be exempted from tuition fee payment for 3 years and 2 years of study respectively.
