This programme aims to provide high-quality education by integrating intelligent mobility technology with foundational academic training, enhancing students' employability and readiness for further studies. The specialized stream focuses on emerging mobility systems, covering low-altitude economy, new energy, robotics, and automation. It equips students with core scientific and technological principles such as mathematics, physics, and engineering fundamentals, while cultivating technical application skills, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication and collaboration in multidisciplinary environments.
Graduates of the Diploma of Foundation Studies — Intelligent Mobility Technology who have completed the required Small Unmanned Aircraft (SUA) (Advanced Rating) (AR) Cat A/B programme modules and passed the mandatory HKCAD assessment are eligible to obtain an SUA (AR) Cat A/B licence, issued by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD) under the Small Unmanned Aircraft Order (Cap. 448G).
The programme equips students with skills required for employment in the Intelligent Mobility industries and also prepares them for further studies. The emerging intelligent mobility industries are developing rapidly and include, but are not limited to low-altitude economy industries, new energy system and applications, robotics and digital technologies, etc.
