Basic Information

The programme aims to cultivate students’ creativity and design thinking. Through an in-depth understanding of the theory and principle in advertising and the exploration of knowledge and application of digital advertising, students will be able to develop effective advertising solutions through the process of conducting research, analysis, implementation and evaluation. In additional to local market information, international elements would be also introduced to student through visiting or seminar for delivering the corporate information and practical knowledge taught by the speakers from the industry professionals. Practice makes perfect! We have a tight connection with industry practitioners for internship and we encourage students to excel their creativity through international competitions. Current students and alumni outshined in various local and international advertising competitions e.g. Red Dot Award, HK4As Kam Fan Student Awards.

*Upon completion of the Diploma of Vocational Baccalaureate (DVB) programmes, students can progress to Degree programmes in VTC, subject to their BTEC and IGCSE results.
  1. These are the entrance requirements of Year 1 entry.
  2. A "Grade D or E" and a "Grade C or above" in an HKDSE Other Language subject (Category C subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively (for 2024 HKDSE and before). One Other Language subject can be counted for admission purpose. Recognition of Other Language subject (Category C subjects) in 2025 HKDSE will be announced later.
  3. An "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in an HKDSE Applied Learning (ApL) subject (Category B subjects) are regarded as equivalent to an HKDSE subject at "Level 2", "Level 3" and "Level 4" respectively, and a maximum of two ApL subjects (excluding ApL(C)) can be counted for admission purpose. The results of relevant ApL subjects will be considered in the application for Degree programmes. Career Prospects
Upon completing the programme, students will possess professional advertising skills with a strong marketing acumen and awareness of new media technologies which are essential requirements in conducting advertising campaigns, digital marketing, branding design, interactive and online advertising, as well as transmedia and graphic communication design in the industry. They could be the next Creative Director, Brand Consultant and Designers.

Remarks
  1. The study duration of Degree programmes is normally 4 years. The tuition fees of Degree programmes are charged according to the number of credit points taken during a semester. Students have to complete at least 120 to 132 credit points for graduation.
  2. In addition to tuition fees, students will be required to pay other fees, such as caution money, students’ union entrance fees and annual fee.
  3. Depending on the requirements of individual programmes, students may be required to attend additional training / industrial attachments, for which separate fees will be charged.
  4. Tuition fees are subject to annual review.
