The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the lecturing post offered by SHAPE (Tsing Yi) for the full-time / part-time degree programme of RMIT BEng (Civil and Infrastructure) (Hons) [online program guide available at http://www.rmit.edu.au/handbook/bh077hkghkgvt] in the academic year 2023/24.

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties at bachelor degree level, such as supervision of students' projects, laboratories and field works; |
(b) |
To review and prepare teaching & learning packages with both international and local contexts and practices; |
(c) |
To carry out administration duties and attend meetings in relation to student and academic administration; and |
(d) |
To participate in departmental projects and functions, where necessary. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised of a master’s degree in related discipline, and preferably an earned doctorate, in related disciplines; |
(b) |
At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or professional experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering; |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills in English; and |
(d) |
Candidate(s) with good record of research, and preferably experience of dissertation / project supervision, for research project supervisor would be an advantage. |
