    Term Lecturer (Physical Education)
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin)

    Major Duties:
    (a) To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
    (b) To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
    (c) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
    (e) To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A relevant recognised degree in Physical Education / Sports / Sports Science with teaching experience in school setting or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
    (b) The ability to teach at least two sports;
    (c) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/ or industry experience;
    (d) A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure;
    (e) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and
    (f) Well-versed in e-learning.
         
    Notes:
    (1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
    (2) The appointee(s) will be assigned to work at Hong Kong Design Institute & Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Lee Wai Lee) and/or Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Sha Tin), depending on operational needs.
    (3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
    (4) Applicants should state clearly which sport(s) they have taught / coached in the application.
    (5) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and in designated place as assigned.
