Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement, teaching relevant Fashion Design modules at sub-diploma level; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials including feasibility study and syllabus writing; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, campus / departmental project, events, competitions and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, open days, admission exercises, research studies, taster programmes, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Fashion Design, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; |
|
(c) |
Good presentation, teaching, administrative, interpersonal and team building skills; |
|
(d) |
Good language proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
|
(e) |
High motivation for programme and new project development; |
|
(f) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional; |
|
(g) |
Prior participation in local, international, or mainland fashion competitions with demonstrable success or notable achievements is an added advantage; |
|
(h) |
Experience in leading students to participate in local, international or mainland fashion design competitions with commendable results would be preferred; and |
|
(i) |
The ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with a recognised degree in Fashion Design but less relevant experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside campus. |
|
(3) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
