Promotion of VPET
Echoing the Government’s strategy and
guided by our third eight-year strategic
plan, we formulated a community-based
strategy to promote VPET to all sectors
of society.
Major initiatives included the launch
of a multimedia publicity campaign
highlighting the professional image
and ‘through-train’ progression
pathways of VPET. We also took
part in a number of large-scale local
and international events, including
the WorldSkills Competition in São
Paulo, Brazil, and organised diverse
community outreach activities.
In addition, building on our strengths
in apprentice training, we expanded
the scope of dual-track education in
Hong Kong by introducing the VTC
Earn & Learn Scheme. This approach
sees workplace training integrated
into the curriculum with a view to
enriching students’ studies and
enhancing their learning motivation. In
a pioneering move, we will launch two
newly-developed dual-track Diploma
programmes in the engineering field for
corporate organisations in late 2016,
offering certification at Level 3
of the Government’s Qualifications
Framework.
Advancing 21st Century
Skills
While a certificate may open doors
for employment, it is students’
professional knowledge and skills that
ultimately determine their capability
to adapt to new challenges, new
technologies and new opportunities.
At the VTC, we aim to take our students
into the future by offering them holistic
training that enables them to step into
industry as value-adding, confident and
skilled professionals.
In 2015/16, we continued to
enhance the quality of our market-
driven programmes, putting equal
emphasis on the social and emotional
competencies that are mostly required
in the 21st century of our students.
推廣職業專才教育
配合政府策略，並在
VTC
第三套八年策
略計劃的引領下，我們立足社區，向社
會各界推廣職業專才教育。
我們透過籌劃涵蓋不同媒體的宣傳活
動，凸顯職業專才教育的專業形象及其
靈活貫通升學階梯。我們亦參與了多個
本地及國際大型活動，如在巴西聖保羅
舉行的世界技能大賽，並籌辦不同的社
區聯繫活動，多管齊下推廣職業專才
教育。
此外，我們充分發揮在學徒訓練方面的
優勢，推出
VTC Earn & Learn
職學計劃，
進一步拓展香港雙軌制職業專才教育的
版圖。透過此計劃，我們將課程學習與
實踐訓練相結合，充實學習內容，提高
學生的求知動力。
2016
年底，我們會推
出兩個專為企業而設的雙軌制工程文憑
課程，頒授達到資歷架構第三級別的學
歷認證。
提升 21 世紀技能
一紙學歷無疑有助學生開啟職場之門，
但成功關鍵乃在於自身能力，學生須掌
握專業知識及技能，方能應對新挑戰，
吸收新技術，把握新機遇。
VTC
矢志為學生提供全面的培訓課程，
讓他們憑藉實力、自信及技能，成為業
界的生力軍。
2015/16
年度，我們繼續配合市場需
求，提升課程質素，同時注重栽培學生
處世上的練達及心智上的涵養，而這正
正是
21
世紀人才所應具備的核心能力。
