Aims

    The department is continuously seeking recognition and exemption with professional bodies and universities both in and outside Hong Kong to maximize graduates' opportunities for further academic and professional qualifications.

    Graduates can receive the following exemptions:

    • University of Northumbria, UK
      HDEM graduates can progress into a part-time, two-year top-up degree course leading to a BA(Hons) in International Business Administration. The part-time, two-year top-up degree course is offered in IVE Chai Wan campus
       
    • University of Northumbria, UK
      HDEM graduates can progress into a part-time, two-year top-up degree course leading to a BA(Hons) in International Business Administration. The part-time, two-year top-up degree course is offered in IVE Chai Wan campus
       
    • Deakin University of Australia
      HDEM graduates are given advanced standing of 50% of credit points towards the Bachelor of Commerce degree
       
    • Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS)
      HDEM graduates are granted Graduate Membership status. This can be upgraded to Associate Membership and Full Membership with 4 and 6 years of information technology experience respectively
       
    • The Hong Kong Association of Accounting Technicians
      HDEM graduates are granted exemption to papers 1, 2 and 4 of Accounting Technician Examinations

    Entrance Requirements
    • (i) A relevant IVE Diploma or Higher Certificate, or
