    The Discipline provides a wide array of in-service training courses to nurture a cadre of professional and customer-oriented personnel to serve the hospitality tourism, leisure and sports industries, thus raising the industry’s overall standards and providing a strong driving force for enhanced industry development.

    Many of our in-service training courses have received international recognition. We are the first institute in Asia to be granted centre approval status by the Institute of Hospitality for the assessment and delivery of its international suite of awards.

    We are also the pioneer in developing the “Certificate Course in Safety and Hygiene for Swimming Pool and Spa Supervisors” which is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, UK, to provide internationally recognised standards to the leisure industry.

    In addition, we are duly registered with the L’Ecole du Vin de Bordeaux (Bordeaux Wine School) and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Limited as an approved programme provider.

    We provide a wide range of consultancy service, organise short courses and tailor-make in-house training for various stakeholders. For instance, the “Professional Diploma in Chinese Catering Management” was tailor-made for restaurant and catering managers; and in 2011, a 7-Day training programme was organized for senior secondary school teachers involved in the new Diploma of Secondary Education curriculum.
