過去一年，
VTC
學生在國際競賽中屢獲殊
榮。足證我們「思考與實踐」並重的教育
方針，能激勵學生發揮所長，迸發潛能。
同學能在不同領域脫穎而出，優秀的例
子不勝枚舉，當中包括
VTC
轄下香港知
專設計學院的學生，自編自導短片《港
漂》入選康城影展短片角放映。此外，香
港專業教育學院學生在斯里蘭卡舉行的
2015
亞太資訊及通訊科技大獎中，亦連
奪多個獎項，於參賽的本港大專院校中
稱冠。
此等成果足證職業專才教育的價值，亦
啟發我們審度

世紀的成功關鍵，不止
於知識的多寡，更著重如何運用資訊，
不斷發揮創意，推陳出新。
我們持續透過多元化的配套活動，為學
生提供充分機會學習新技能，鼓勵多角
度探知，打造國際視野。這些活動包括
實習、交流、會議、研討會，以及與志
同道合的伙伴共同進行研發等。
Flying the Flag
Internationally
During the year, many of our students
received recognition in international
competitions. Our ‘think-and-do’
approach allows students to develop
their professional skills and exploit
their potential to the full.
A notable example was the selection
of The Drifter, self-written and directed
by one of our Hong Kong Design
Institute students, for screening at
the Cannes Festival Short Film Corner.
Another was the success of our Hong
Kong Institute of Vocational Education
students in the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance
Awards 2015 in Sri Lanka, where they
won the highest number of awards
among all participating Hong Kong
tertiary institutions.
These results not only underline the
value of VPET, but also tell us that
success in the 21st century lies not
in how much a person knows, but how
he or she uses that information to
innovate constantly and come up with
new ideas.
We continue to provide abundant
opportunities for our students to
learn new skills, explore different
perspectives and acquire a global
mindset through a wide-range of
supporting programmes, including
internships, exchanges, conferences,
seminars and research projects in
collaboration with like-minded partners.
